Unabashedly I fell in love with this guy on a casual stroll through the show grounds in Denver, CO. When I was asked if I wanted a closer look, I thought why not, just looking. Then of course couldn't stop thinking about him. His fawn sire at almost 3 years of age 17.6 micron with 4.2 SD and extremely bright & crimpy. (I wanted to post pictures of both of their fleece shots but couldn't choose a picture to delete of Romeo himself! Needless to say, I pressed the "buy" button. Just a few days later at that GWAS show, he received his 1st blue ribbon. The plan was to shear at the show, but I thought it wouldn't be fair to the hubby to not see him in his full glorious fleece. So he came home to wow us all and we sheared shortly afterward. We gave essentially his cria fleece to an extremely talented hand spinner who processed it with hardly any waste. It turned out beautiful!Romeo's nice conformation was evident at early age. Multiple people, besides his breeder also commented on his truly sweet disposition. Even the judge at the last show commented what a well-behaved young man he is. Large fluffy frame and he is still a huggable sort. From a black dam & fawn sire came his modern grey. His dam does have a dark silver grey and medium silver grey in Aussie Rockford so he could really compliment grey females. We love his very sturdy conformation, dense fleece, gorgeous head and ears. His first cria was born at almost 20 pounds straight and strong. In summer 2020 he had an outstanding male born by a dark silver grey that we are pretty excited about. Look for Romeo's Raise the Roof - loaded with fleece. The cutest guy with a beautiful head & disposition. He is on our keep list.
