What could be more special than an early Easter present of a beautiful alpaca that is expecting ? the very first birth of a cria at our place - on your sweetheart's birthday -- on Good Friday, that is a "grey" GIRL!!! Goodness some people wait many, many years for just one of those results. That special girl is our Hope born to us by MFI Silver Lady and Silvano of PVA.

Hope is a sweetheart as you can surmise by some of her pictures. Someone made us the cutest sign "Gotta Have Hope" Don't we all? We adore this girl and have high "hopes" for her future. So far she is 2 for 2 with girls!

She delivered her first cria by Boreas' Sirocco - a solid black female - Such a cutie. She is one of the friendliest on the ranch and though sold, probably could have sold multiple times because of her personality and eagerness to take treats.

Last year we bred Hope to GLR Armani. We truly love what he produced when bred to medium silver grey. You have to see his offspring ranging from freckled rose greys to all shades of silver grey. Luna Vuitton is an award-winning, beautiful unique grey color fleece of 20 AFD and 4.6 SD - those are amazing fleece stats of any color! This year Armani gave us knock outs with both Victoria and Hope! Bless her heart she gave birth on National Alpaca Farm day for visitors to see. I suspect this little girl we named MercyMe will be a beauty with her dark silver grey fleece and pretty white face highlighted with eye shadow similar to her mom.
