WTR Silken Mary Cassat

Mary's pedigree isn't very deep. However, her sire was Snowmass Silken Gold. Wait, a suri - from Snowmass? His EPDs indicate ranked top 10% AFD, top 5% SDAFD and top spin fineness, etc. He also took several 1st place ribbons as Get of Sire in various shows including North American Alpaca Show 2011.

Interestingly enough Mary's history shows two 1st places in spin offs. If you notice, entered as different colors - 2013 she took first place in black class & 2014 a 1st place as grey. When I first saw Mary I thought dark brown/bay black but noticed her registration papers said true black and then remembered at one time I had seen a cria of hers that was a flashy medium silver grey. If you look at the pedigree you do see the makings of a rose grey, TB to fawn with MSG in the background. She has a pretty sweet disposition and comes for treats.

She had a gorgeous silver grey girl by ScCal Greystson'e Marquis. So we did a repeat breed because we are over the top excited with that pairing. The color of her daughter was spectacular, a light silver grey with a bit of pink tone, shiny & fine. Her daughter also took some nice ribbons in the show season; a 1st and a 2nd in walking fleece and two 2nd places in halter. Not bad for the youngest one of the class. She not only broke the cute meter, she is friendly too! It appears Mary & Marquis did it again. Her current handsome guy we were tempted to name after Sam Elliott. He is tall, a little lanky right now but he has swag, and a sly smile. He has lovely locking fleece and a similar disposition to his older sister.

We have both a daughter & son from Mary, so we have listed her for sale.

We just confirmed a pregnancy by the fine fleeced, Luminary legacy of Giacomo. So curious to see if they will produce the rose grey speckled.
