Huacaya, Male, Dark Silver Grey

Sire: Alpaca Knolls Caleb | ARI# 31616133  | Medium Silver Grey
Dam: A.L. Pacas Chiri Bim   | Medium Silver Grey |

We had a birthing season run of 5 boys born in a row. The birth just before this guy was about as traumatic as could be. Our show string, full Accoyo dam that had been bred to full Accoyo male from another state had an extremely complicated delivery. Despite an amazing team of vet and nurses and a truly heroic effort, the baby didn't make it and we lost our valiant dam the next day - on what would have been my mother in heaven's birthday. Not that losing a life is ever easy, but this has been a particularly hard ranching year with losses and other setbacks to make us start questioning what we are doing and why. The best I could come to peace with is just keep walking, even if it looks like everything is working against you, sometimes you have to hold on to your dream and do your best to just keep on keeping on.

Our very next birth, along came this handsome guy! He was the result of a lease on a nice dam out of two champion parents. His name somewhat inspired by a Toby Mac song, Move (keep walking) Soldier keep walking....

"Walker" is cute as can be and has a great color & a nice solid dark grey blanket! At an event hosted by Socalpaca, Dale Davis gave him comments of excellent uniform crimp expression in micron under 25 especially noting his excellent brightness! This guy in the very least, should make some fabulous products for years to come. We have sold out of his dad's fleece and/or products and the fact that Walker is darker in color and solid in blanket color, already sets him to be a notch above his dad.

This boy continues to catch people's eye and we have had numerous inquiries regarding his purchase. He is weaning age so if you would be interested in him AND would consider continuing to board him at Alpacas of Windy Hill or giving us breedings to him in the future, talk to us we may accept a lower offer.

Oh and as a side note, the tide shifted, after leasing 7 females and having all boys 2 years in a row, we finally had a girl on our last lease! A birthing season of 6 boys in a row ended with 4 seemingly beautiful, healthy girls. Our continued walk has us jumping for joy!

Come out and see this guy. He is about as cute as they come!
