We are sad to announce that Daytona passed away this past winter (2023) of unknown causes. His information will continue to be displayed for reference as he has many offspring, including more to come this summer. Daytona's cria have proven just how capable Daytona is at producing black with such a variety of dam colors. We are thrilled with his offspring. They are dense, silky, crimpy, extremely well put together conformationally, and have such lovely presence. In 2016, Daytona produced 5 black, 1 dark grey, and 1 brown cria. UNIFORMITY! This girl is the epitome of uniformity. She has fineness, great density from head to tail, brightness, crimp, very little guard hair - and all of it is uniform! Even Judge Sharon Loner commented on her uniformity at the Northwest Alpaca Showcase in 2008, placing her first in her class. Her sweet personality, soundness, and low maintenance make her ideal for someone just looking for a few good-looking critters to graze their pasture. Ponderosa is a truly beautiful alpaca with straight model-like conformation and excellent presence. Her bright and silky fleece holds extreme fineness, which she gets from both dam and sire. Ponderosa's sire is AHarmony's Espiritu de Tequila (ET). ET has incredible Peruvian genetics with generations of extreme fineness. His first AFD was only 14 microns! Italia is a solid mahogany brown female with such a beautiful soft fleece exhibiting a coppery shine. She has definitely acquired her sire's notable crimp character and staple alignment as well.
