AWH Zither by Lumiere is an outstanding example of luster in a suri alpaca. She sparkles in the pasture, and has a lovely. ropey lock style that is consistent throughout her blanket. She is a fine example of what happens when we cross the Torbio line with the MacGyver line. Zither's daddy was Lumiere of PVA, a son of Torbio, and a daughter of Admiral who is a full sister to Admiral's Commandor. Quizzical has grown into a lovely female with a sweet temperament, even while pregnant. She seems to be smiling all the time! And why not? She is expecting a summer cria by none other than Sierra Bonita's Accoyo Maximum. Max is still producing winners in the show ring and the fleece show at 13 years old. He recently took a 2nd place at the Gold Country Gathering at 13. SIERRA BONITA'S MACCOYO MAXIMUM (MAX): In 2010 Max took the Color Championship at The Futurity as the only shorn animal that had taken a Championship when judged with Full Fleece animals. He has been said to be the Total Suri Male by 7 Judges. His offspring have proven that the Judges are right. His offpring have uniform locks, lots of luster and are very dense. At the Calif Classic 2014 he had 6 offspring entered into the show. Five got 1st place ribbons and 1 got the Color Championship in the only class of Suris to have a Championship. AWH Brizo to the Max ranks in the TOP 1% EPD's in Spin Fineness, and her mama, Wayra, still ranks in the Top 1% in several categories. As a matter of fact, Wayra spent several years as THE # 1 suri in AFD and SDAFD! I didn't get to show Brizo much due to water damage to her fleece, but her 1st cria, AWH Brave by Archangel Michael, has creamy well-defined locks at an early age, placing 3rd at the highly competitive CABA Classic. Vindication is my idea of the ideal white suri male alpaca. His fleece is dense, consistent, fine and highly lustrous. His blocky, square frame makes him a solid conformational base for almost every female in my herd. Consequently, I bred him to every white or light female in my herd last summer. We just love AWH Kindle by The Admiral! She is well grown and carries a lovely golden fleece that sparkles when she moves. It's fine and shiny, and has quite a bit of weight as well. Beautifully defined lock structure makes it swing in the breeze when it's grown out. Kindle's daddy is WI The Admiral, our gorgeous Goldstar son. AWH Moonstone by Lumiere is a beautiful, big-boned female with dense, luxurious fleece. GWENDOLYNE OF HALO has a big, stocky build to go along with a beautiful dense, soft fleece. She is cute as a bug and a great mother into the bargain. Gwennie is carrying a lot of color under her white exterior. Her daddy is Cinders whose reputation for throwing champion black is legendary. Her mama is Pearlescense of PVA, a medium fawn beauty with a while ring around her neck. We bred her this year to Maccoyo Maximum, and multiple champion fawn MacGyver son who throws spectacular fleece in everything he does. Picasso's Petra of EA is a lovely girl! When I first touched her, I was thrilled to feel her fine, slick, silky fleece. And she is a sweet-tempered female who is easy to handle even when she is pregnant. Her sire is the famous GLR Picasso, 5X champion and sire of many champion offspring. Petra's owner was having health problems when she was young, so she never got to show, but she is a true daughter of her famous daddy! Her dam was Zambesi's Katerina, a black female with amazingly fine fleece for her color and her generation. I just fell in love with Sicario the 1st time I saw him. After 24 years in the alpaca business I am not easily taken in, but he just took my breath away. At 7 months old he looked like he was sitting in a cascading puddle of silky fleece and he had the most adorable face I'd ever seen. I was smitten. Sicario put most of his energy into his fleece his 1st 2 years but continued to be successful in the show ring , and now is a big strapping guy and breeding successfully.
