Luminary Legacy of Giacomo

ARI# 35085089   D.O.B. 6/26/2017

Suri, Jr. Herdsire (Male), Unproven | Light Fawn, Medium Rose Grey

Sire: Riverstones Giacomo Trabalza of Peru | ARI# 31756594  | Dark Silver Grey |
Dam: Summer Solstice Peruvian Astra | ARI# 31931441  | fawn

We knew this guy was special and a true blessing when he arrived. We have seen a lot born over the years and none that look like this! Flashy luster and the the unique coloring! At birth, while still wet you could notice the subtle grey hue. He appeared fawn alpaca with a shadow along his top line in photos, which was closer to the color he was at first shear - a very unique taupe/modern grey color. First shearing definitely revealed an extreme makeover.

His dam Astra, was sired by Prince Greystone a rose grey freckle-faced beauty and Astra's dam was a robust rose grey (four generations grey). His sire, Giacomo, was also a beautiful freckle-faced modern-grey, known to throw great luster and packed with Peruvian genetics that are less common than others.

When Mo was young, as he raced around the pasture, it was nearly breathtaking to watch the breeze catch his fleece, a beautiful golden hue in the sunlight. When contemplating what to do with that first fleece that was colored so uniquely, we decided to enter it in a show. At the nations largest all suri fleece show, our first time entering a fleece show and low and behold he took a first! Scores were above average density & lock style. Judges comments were good fineness and luster in fleece that is just beginning to express it's genetic potential. Mo received a first place at California Classic with comments from the halter judge regarding his luster and fineness. We could overhear comments from the grand stands regarding how stunning he is. He also recently received a 1st place at the Gold Country Gathering 2018. Mo took another 1st place at the Suri Symposium 2019 - when I weighed his blanket, it didn't have a very good weight and then I remembered he was a spitting guy at shearing so we put some fleece in the trash. His fleece also just took a 1st place in AAWO spin-off. The judges comments were I just couldn't stop touching this fleece! We are so happy because we think just looking at it is beautiful.

Curious since he is doubled up on the rose grey freckles if he will indeed throw speckled babies.

We can't utilize him much considering similar genetics throughout our herd so, contact us if you are interested in more information. We just confirmed a pregnancy by ultrasound for a summer 2020 cria!
