We had been looking for a couple years for a male with qualities to bump up our herd. While we have been focusing on light fawn, when this beige guy presented himself we just had the feeling we might not get an opportunity like this again. Armani is actually the offspring of two darker fawn parents. We bought this young male before even seeing him in person and before he entered the ring and won a first place at Futurity.

What do you get when you do a repeat breed of a black dam to a medium silver guy when they had a medium silver cria together the year prior? You get a surprising reminder that grey is unpredictable as the least likely suspected color pops out! As I watched the delivery, I thought wow an all white head, white feet, likely be a tux but as she came out solid white from head to toe - well almost, she has grey skin at feet, dark eyes and eyelids with liner.

The sire is beige from fawn and brown parents so this boys color didn't necessarily surprise us. However, as a side-note, his dam is white from a black dam and grey sire and has had two black sons with white blaze face markings. We had bred Majestic Armani at 2 years of age and were extremely happy to have one born by him. Proving one of our best fleeced huacayas yet, and we think he really brought it to this guy. This is a beautiful boy we could tell from the second he hit the ground strong, lots of curly fleece and presence. Definitely added density to this offspring.
